Melanie Bridges

I hope to encourage others to submit their art this semester. It's a great opportunity to get published and have a small non-intimidating audience of art-lovers experience your piece.
Melanie Bridges is a senior studying Communication with a minor in Theatre. She joined The Crossings as a Content Creator in Spring '23. After a brief hiatus, she returned in the Fall of '24 as the Lead Editor & Visual Developer, which she will continue on as this semester. Melanie is excited to rejoin The Crossings team since she had such a wonderful experience last time, and it offers a flexible schedule. She is excited to work on a publication that is fun, accessible, and celebrates creativity on campus.
Melanie grew up in Mishawaka, Indiana. While she is uncertain of where her career will lead her, she aims to use her abilities to make a positive impact. Her hobbies include being involved in theatre, watching movies, listening to music, and crafting. She's currently working on a scrapbook! Additionally, Melanie enjoys reading. Although her favorite novel is Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine, Melanie's all-time favorite poet is Mary Oliver.
