Meet the Editors

Kadie Sue is a junior English & Writing as well Liberal Studies major. She joined The Crossings in Fall '22 as Commissioning & Associate Editor before being promoted to Managing Editor. She hopes to more fully explore her love of writing and make an impact on Bethel's campus serving on the Executive Student Council, Writing Center, and Crossings Staff.

Ella Meyer is a junior studying English Education with a minor in Special Education. She joined The Crossings this semester as the Event Coordinator & Content Contributor in the Spring of '24. This year, she will specialize as the Event Coordinator for the High School Writing Contest, partnering with local schools to award young, upcoming writers in our community. Since Ella has previously worked on Bethel's newspaper, she is hoping to explore a new world of writing with The Crossings.

Melanie Bridges is a senior studying Communication with a minor in Theatre. She joined The Crossings as a Content Creator in Spring '23 and has now returned as the Lead Editor & Visual Developer. Melanie is excited to rejoin The Crossings team since she had such a wonderful experience last time.

Katie Brown is a senior majoring in English & Writing. She previously worked on staff in Fall '23 and has returned as one of The Crossings' Content Creators. This year, she's hoping to explore new positions and help guide young, aspiring writers as they create their own writing platforms.

Jordan is a senior majoring in English & Philosophy. This is her first semester on The Crossings, and she will be serving as the Online Media Manager. She will be connecting with authors and reads alike through social media. Additionally, we will inspire creativity through her own as she shares a few Weekly Writing Prompts with you all!

Lydia Trowbridge is a freshman studying English & Writing with a minor in Theatre. This is her first semester with The Crossings, and she serves as both Commissioning Editor & Content Creator. Lydia is excited to learn practical career skills working for a magazine since she aspires to one day work professionally in journalism.

Jennifer earned her MFA in Creative Writing from Ashland University in 2012. She has been the faculty advisor for The Crossings since 2013, and has been teaching in the Literature & Language Department at Bethel University since 2008.
